These are pictures of Don Merrihew’s CD-1 mounted on his John Deere 140.\u00a0 Don’s CD-1 has a Serial Number of 1279.\u00a0 Don’s CD-1 was shipped from the Danuser factory on July 9, 1975 to St. Louis, MO.<\/p>\n

Don sent me some additional close up pictures of his CD-1 along with some discussion of the operation.\u00a0 The auger head is raised and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder powered by the hydraulic pump\/valve combination mounted on the front of the tractor.\u00a0 The auger rotation is produced by a drive shaft that extends from the front to the back of the tractor.\u00a0 The entire undercarriage looks very similar to the one on my Cub Cadet.<\/p>\n
