Our Earthcavator was originally manufactured to mount on a Simplicity. The Simplicity mount looks identical to a Cub Cadet mount, but none of the dimensions are correct.
The Cub Cadet mount has the two arms extending forward, but they’re spaced further apart, are longer and made of heavier material. I began the process by cutting off the arm assembly using a cut off wheel on my angle grinder. The area was smoothed using the angle grinder with a grinding pad.
The pieces I removed were too short and not thick enough to use for the Cub Cadet mount.
With the Simplicity mount removed, the Gannon was ready for the new mount.
{this is as much as I’ve currently finished. When I finish the mount, you can read about it here.}
